Flying in manual and getting speed limited to 45.6mph,   as Im in the UK there should not be a speed limit and Im wondering if I should be un ticking the M Mode Attitude Limit option in the Gain & Expo settings.

What controller do you use? You need rc3 for higher speed that is available if you are located outside of EU. Or maybe Ireland has same limitation

You can only fly Manual Mode with the Controller 3.

In the european region and, probably UK as well, speed and signal strenght is limited due to the C1 EASA rules, which its certified to.
EASA regulates speed max (kinetic energy it produces due of its weight and speed), loudness (dB loudness from the drone trough a rpm limit of the motors) and also signal frequencies and strenght (CE).

There are illegal ways to unlock the FCC signal strenght, which also unlocks its original speed.
But if anything happens you will get legal problems in the EASA area.

Hi DA.

Yes if you would like it to go faster you should untick attitude limit as attitude limit will limit the pitch and roll axis to a maximum pitch or roll angle. But be careful if you are new to manual mode as unticking this option puts you in full Acro and will allow you to go inverted. Limiting the forward pitch angle will limit the speed.
Also camera angle, although it does not physically limit speed a higher camera angle  ( like 35-40 deg) centers your (horizon) view at higher speeds.

Assuming you are using the FPV Controller 3?  Yes you need to uncheck the attitude limit for max speed, rolling, or flipping.  Note it will only matter when using the FPV3 in Manual mode.  No effect when flying with the MC3.

I’ve seen other UK pilots hit 70mph in the U.K. so I don’t believe you’re EASA rules effect us.

Thanks.  That’s what I had thought but was struggling to find any details in the manual.

Yes using the FPV remote.  As you can see from the log above I’m in manual mode but being limited, I don’t beleive you can get the other controllers into manual mode.

UK was still a part of EASA for a while after Brexit, but they've definitely left that too later on and as far as I know they don't have 19m/s limit that we do.

I'd start with disabling M Mode Attitude Limit as that will allow the drone to pitch fully forward and probably go the full 60mph (or more with backwind as seen in some vids mentioned above).

Yeah cheers.   We don’t have the 120m limit on c0 like EASA but we have our own issues too.

Drop one of the DJI mods a private message to let them know as the Avata 2 avatar should appear in your profile once activated. That way people will know you own the drone.

If you order from DJI they delivered mine the next day and you can have both the RC and MC paired at the same time.

Do you have "auto" greyed out under transmission menu or can you select channels manually? Because it looks like you might be in FCC mode.

It's greyed for sure or at least it was when I checked and I am pretty positive I am in CE mode as the signal is not so great

Interesting. We've seen people from UK who have limited power/channels but their speed is not limited. Bulgaria should definitely have speed limited as it's EASA member, but maybe your activation somehow got mixed up (we've seen similar issues rarely on older drones, I know a guy from US who had his Avata 1 activate in CE mode when he first got it).

So far Ive only seen videos from people saying they are not limited in the EU in manual mode,   have we actually confirmed the speed is limited and how exactly would they do that in manual mode if they didnt limit the pitch.

I believe throttle is limited. Haven't really tried it much myself since my leg is broken and I've mostly been playing with it indoor in N mode.

Definitely seems a bit inconsistent, yeah. There's another guy here on the forum who claims ham_cfg_support file unlocks full motor power and speed for him, and others saying it does nothing. Go figure.

ham_cfg_support did for the pre release firmware that the reviewers got,  and I think if you activated it before the firmware upgrade it would stick after the upgrade.
